Sara Baks was a daughter of Maurits Baks and Kaatje van Leeuwen. She was unmarried and worked as servant maid. She lived at home at Spoorsingel 8b in Rotterdam with her parents. On 31 July 1942 she was already registered in Camp Westerbork and deported to Auschwitz on 3 August 1942. Eventually she lost her life in Auschwitz on 30 September 1942.
Sara had a sister Leentje, who married 27 October 1937 to Emanuel van der Kloot and since then resided in Den Haag. Also she and her family were killed in the Shoah.
