Joseph Waas married Eva de Bruin on 4 June 1941. The wedding reception took place at the home of his sister-in-law, Cornelia Alida Staal-de Bruin, in the Staalstraat in Amsterdam. As their future address the couple mentioned the house on Staalstraat 13-I in Amsterdam.
