Levie de Beer was the son of Daniel de Beer and Ganna Salomons. On 13 July 1910 he married Antje Levie, the daughter of Nathan Pinas Levie and Sophia Hartogs. Antje Levie was born in Zuidland, on 2 April 1879. She died in Oss on 6 February 1941. Levie de Beer and Antje Levie had four children: Daniel, Nathan Pinas, Ganna and Sophia. After several moves, the family settled in Zuidland in 1914, where they lived at 120 Breedstraat. Next they moved to Heenvliet, then to Zwartewaal (where the eldest son Daniel died of a tumour on 15 August 1919) and then to Brielle. In 1927 the family moved to Oss, where Levie opened a butcher shop on the Walstraat. Levie de Beer was a meat carver and cattle dealer.
