Georges Cahn wrote the following goodbye note from the train to Auschwitz:
"Dear Jan
A farewell from me as well. We all are keeping the faith and trust you will do the same. Be strong, and we will do the same. Well Jan, once again be well and Courage.
Yours cordially, George
P.S. Do not look at the handwriting, it is hard to write in the train.
Adieu!"
