Grietje Magnus was a daughter of David Magnus, a butcher, and Margje Levie. She married in Smilde on 2 August 1917 to Aron Leip, a son of Levie Leip and Hinderika Levie.
Also her siblings Simon, Zientje, Jacob David, Saartje, Mozes, Nathan, Klaartje and Jozef have been killed during the Holocaust.
