Carolina Schoenlapper-Mendels was the wife of Jacob Schoenlapper. She was injured when they were forcibly expelled from their home and admitted to the temporary Jewish hospital on Amsterdamscheweg. Her daughter Sara was also listed as living at this address. According to Red Cross records, Carolina Schoenlapper-Mendels was taken to Westerbork with other patients when the hospital was evacuated. Sara had gone into hiding. She was arrested. Two children of the Schoenlapper family, who lived at a different address, survived the war.
