Mozes Turksma was the son of Aaron Moses Turksma and Saartje Philip Cohen. Mozes was married to Saartje Turksma-Cohen, who lived at the same address. Before, Mozes was widowed three times: of Vokkie Kuijt in 1932, of Naatje Polak in 1935 and of Sara Dormits in 1939. With his first wife he had four children, one died before the war and one probably survived the war. His two daughters lived with his sister Clara.
