Hijman Coezijn was a son of Philip Coezijn and Vrouwtje Poppegaai. He was not married.
Since December 1938, Hijman Coezijn stayed in Balkbrug (province of Overijssel) and lived since August 1940 with his father Philip Coezijn at Nieuwe Achtergracht 12 I and he moved in December of that year to his last address at Pension van Zuiden.
Other than he himself, six other siblings did not survive the Holocaust too: Rosette, Jacobus, Sara, Eva, Gerrit and Judith.
