Helena Polak was a daughter of Barend Polak and Rosette Joels. She married 19 November 1919 to Leman Vierra, son of Isaac Vierra and Klaartje Kalkoene. Leman however passed away before 1940. He was born in a family of 10 children, among them he himself, and of whom a baby sister Elisabeth died only 2 months old in 1905. Al his other siblings, David, Marianne, Israel, Willem, Rachel, Naatje, Rebecca and Lena have died during the Holocaust.
