Marianne Barber, a daughter of Manus Barber and Flora van Velzen, married 25 October 1933 in Amsterdam to Elkan Roe, a son of Barend Roe and Elisabeth Barber.
Marianne Barber was born in a family of elven children; one brother died at young age and one sister survived the war. Her other siblings, Meijer, Judic, Sientje, Elisabeth, Sara, Salomon, Frederika and Isaac have been killed all during the Holocaust.
