Anna de Vries, was a teacher at the primary school Nº 81 in de Valkenburgerstraat in the Jewsih quarter in Amsterdam.
On June 21, 1909 she married Benjamin Speelman, a diamond worker. He had two sons, Abraham and Maurits, from his previous marriage with Rachel Visser who died in 1909. Benjamin Speelman himself died in 1920.
