Boas Roffesa from Den Haag, instrument maker by trade, was a son of Alexander Roffesa and Rachel Noort. He married 12 January 1938 in Amsterdam to Anna Blom, seamstress, a daughter of Joseph Blom and Klaartje Goudsmit. The couple had no children.
Boas resided in different cities in The Netherlands. He movev October 1930 to Leiden, in December 1934 to Amsterdam and 8 July 1936 he moved to Wageningen. Anna Blom, who lived at Biesboschstraat 89 I in Amsterdam, went to Wageningen after she was married to Boas Roffesa. 17 January 1938 she was registered in the Peoples Registry there. However, 2 February 1942 they were forced to move from Wageningen to Amsterdam and they ended up at the address Geldersekade 84 II.
In the early morning during the raid of 26 may 1943 in Amsterdam, Boas and Anna were fetched from their home at Geldersekade and deported that same day to Camp Westerbork. There they stayed in barack 55 till they were both put on transport to Sobibor 1 June, and upon arrival there 4 June 1943 both were immediately killed.
