Abraham Meljado was a son of Juda Haim Meljado and Engeltje Brandon. He married Rosine Stodel in Amsterdam on 30 May 1907, a daughter of Mozes Stodel and Wilhelmina Kann. Rosine however has passed away in 1935 and Abraham Meljado remarried on 23 February 1938 the Polish widow of Bernard Bornstein, Ernestyne Feiwel, a daughter of Leib Feiwel and Paja Kleinmann.
Abraham and Rosine had two children: Engeltje and Wilhelmina. Both have been killed during the Holocaust.
Abraham self was born in a family with at least 13 children. Many of his siblings have died at young age and/or already before the war. One brother has survived the Holocaust but his brother Aron was killed in the Shoah too.
