Louis Plaat, tailor, was a son of Salomon Plaat and Zipora Isaak. He married Rosa Marchand from Ringenberg on 20 March 1913 in Holten (Germany). The couple had two sons: Erwin and Herbert. Both have been killed to in the Shoah.
The family came to Amsterdam on 20 November 1933 and resided first at Amstel 91 upper house and later Amstel 296 III. (3rd floor).
