Levie Zegerius was a son of Meijer Hartog Zegerius and Duifje Lap. He married Leentje Roe on 6 July 1898 in Amsterdam, a daughter of David Roe and Matthea Aandagt. The couple had four children, of whom one child has died before the war and one child has survived the Holocaust. Levie’s daughters Duifje and Marianne and their families have been killed during the Shoah.
Levie Zegerius was born into a family of ten children, of whom two have survived the Holocaust and one child died before the war in the Apeldoornse Bos. His other siblings, Hartog, Elisabeth, Michiel, Lion, Barend and Sophia have been killed all during the Shoah.
