Maurice Zegerius, butcher by trade, was the unmarried son of Barend Zegerius and Eva Beesemer. At the age of 21, he was nursed at the Apeldoornse Bos in the period 1 July till 9 August 1941. Afterwards he resided again with his parents. Eventually Maurice has been killed in the Shoah, somewhere in Mid-Europe. His sister and her husband - only married in July 1942 - have survived the Holocaust.
