Edith Herz, born in Beuel (Germany), was married to Sally Boers, a son of Philip Boers and Sara Goslinksi. Edith and Sally had together in 1925 a son, Gunther Hans Otto, who was born in Groenlo. The marriage ended however by divorce on 11 February 1928 in Cologne. Gunther Hans Otto has been already killed in Auschwitz on 17 August 1942. His mother, also killed in Auschwitz, on 30 September 1942.
Edith’s ex-husband remarried and had two daughters with his 2nd spouse but they have been killed all in Sobibor. Eventually Edith’s ex-husband has survived the Holocaust. He died in the second half of the 80s , where he lived in the Jewish Home for the aged in Bussum.
