Levij Rubens, a son of Ruben Rubens and Judik Cohen, married 2 April 1913 in Rotterdam Rebekka den Arend, a daughter of Salomon den Arend and Leentje van Vlies. He had with Rebekka four children of whom two children survived the Holocaust. His other children, Lena and Juda were killed in Auschwitz on 9 November 1942, toegher with Levij self and his wif Rebekka.
