Salomon Coppenhagen, a son of Mozes Coppenhagen and Rachel Halverstad, married Sophia Koopman in Amsterdam on 7 September 1916, a daughter of Salomon Koopman and Roosje Saphier. They had two sons: Mozes and Pinehas Joseph, who have been killed both in the Shoah: Mozes lost his life in Lublin on 30 November 1943 and Pinehas Joseph, still living at home with his parents, was killed together with his father on 30 April 1943 in Auschwitz. Sophia was killed already in Auschwitz on 14 January 1943.
