Leentje Baks was a daughter of Maurits Baks and Kaatje van Leeuwen. She married 27 October 1937 in Rotterdam to Emanuel van der Kloot, a bookbinder from Den Haag and son of Abraham van der Kloot and Helena Leeser. The couple had a son Abraham.
On 12 December 1942 Leentje, her husband Emanuel and son Abraham werd brought in in Camp Westerbork, where they had to stay in barack 67. On 2 February 1943, the family was has been deported to Auschwitz, where Leentje and her son Abraham upon arrival there immediately were killed on 5 February 1943. Her husband Emanuel van der Kloot eventually lost his life in Auschwitz on 30 April 1943.
