Sara Leons was a daughter of Louis Leons and Eva van der Maas. She was a seamstress by trade and unmarried. In contrast to what happened to her parents and brother Michiel, who have been registered in Camp Westerbork between 3 and 5 October 1942, Sara has been sent to Camp Westerbork already on 31 July 1942. From there she was deported to Auschwitz on 3 August and eventually killed there on 30 September 1942. Her parents and brother have been deported to Auschwitz on 16 October 1942 where they have been killed immediately upon arrival there on 19 October 1942.
