About the family of Eliazar Hakker

Eliazar Hakker was a son of Jacob Hakker and Mietje van der Kloot from Den Haag. On 18 August 1925 he married Alice Allemans in Antwerp, a daughter of Abraham Allemans and Bliemei Ruchel Eijsen. Alice, born in the Swiss city of Bern in 1904, was legalized five years later as their daughter at the time of de marriage of her parents in Rotterdam in 1909.

Eliazar en Alice lived in Antwerp where their son Jacob was born in 1926. They lived also in Den Haag at various addresses but their last known address before they were sent to Camp Westerbork was Gouwestraat 5 in Den Haag

Their son Jacob was already registered in Camp Westerbork on 20 August 1942, deported to Auschwitz on 24 Augustus and got killed there on 30 September 1942. Eliazar en Alice arrived a few months later in Westerbork, on 3 October 1942, from where they were deported on 5 October to Auschwitz. Alice Hakker-Allemans was killed immediately upon arrival there on 8 October 1942. Eliazar Hakker eventually lost his life somewhere in Mid Europe on 31 August 1943, since he was presumably selected for hard labor.
