Juda Velleman, son of Hartog Barend Velleman and Mietje van Zanten, married 8 February 1928 the non-Jewish Dirkje Hagenbeek, daughter of Willem Hagenbeek and Sijtje Rookje van Allen. He had two sons, Hartog and Willem. Hartog died just 4 months old. Juda Velleman was the brother of Carolina Weiman-Velleman and the halfbrother of Mietje Swaalep-Velleman.
Juda Velleman was registered in Camp Westerbork between 3 and 5 October 1942 as “mixed married with one child”. 18 November he was discharged from Westerbork but in 1943 again arrested and sent to concentration camp Vught. From there he has been put on transport direction Auschwitz 15 November 1943 and as Juda then was 40 years of age, he most likely was selected for forced labor, although it is not known where. Also not known is where he lost his life. His death is officially registered as died in Germany 11 April 1945.
