Eliazar van Houten was the son of Hartog Jacob van Houten and Lea Dressou. He was married to Helena Menist, the daughter of Meijer Menist and Lea Querido. The couple had two children: Herman and Lea. The family lived in Belgium in the town Mortel. From there they were deported to Auschwitz where they all got killed.
