About Sara Stibbe.

sister of Bella and Nathan.

Sara Stibbe was the youngest daughter of Samuel Stibbe and Marianne Schaapwol. She was born in London on 14 May 1882. She had an older sister Bella, who was born in January 1877 and was married to Zacharias van Moppes, and an older brother Nathan from 1879, who was married to Bella Israel from  Lehrte, located in the Hannover region in Germany. Sara remained unmarried.

Her father Samuel Stibbe passed away in 1929 in Amsterdam, her mother in 1937. Both were interred in the Jewish Cemetery at Muiderberg.  Already before the passing of her father, Sara lived not anymore at home but since 1927 she lived at own addresses in the River neighbourhood of Amsterdam-South. Her before last address was Niersstraat 4 1st floor and per 2 May 1941 she lived at Biesboschstraat 70 2nd floor.

On 23 February 1943, she was taken from her home address and via the Hollandsche Schouwburg carried off to Westerbork, where she was registered and ended up in barrack 55. On 16 July 1943 she died there and the same day she was cremated in Westerbork but the urn with her ashes has been interred in the Jewish Cemetery in Diemen.
