Joles Hospital

Jewish hospital in Haarlem.

The Joles Hospital opened as the Jewish wing of the St. Elisabeth Gasthuis in 1930. Funding came from a bequest from Mozes Joles, a member of the Jewish community of Haarlem. On average, about five Jewish patients were admitted there. During the occupation the patients were deported, and the wing merged with the general hospital.
