Rosette Voorzanger was a daughter of Joseph Voorzanger and Heintje Springer. She married Jakob van der Horst from Hoogeveen on 24 December 1918, a son of Philip van der Horst and Saartje Meiboom. The couple had five children, among them a twin, of whom Hanna died 26 December 1923, only 4 months old.
