The police commissioner of the judicial service A in The Hague requested that Izaäk Messcher and his wife Sara Messcher-Swaan be located, detained and brought to trial. They resided at 17 Sparrelaan in Rijswijk and were suspected of violating Article 256 of the Penal Code (offering as a foundling or abandoning a child under 7).
