Mietje Roos-Blok was de dochter van Samuel Blok en Hester Odewald. Zij trouwde op 4 juli 1941 te Groningen met Abraham Roos. Haar ouders hebben de oorlog overleefd.

Abraham Roos, son of Mozes Abraham Roos and Anna van Leer, was a butcher like his father at the Jewish export butcher Van der Sluis on the Ezingerweg in Meppel. He often drove one of the company vans to deliver meat to customers. On 4 July 1941 he married Mietje (known as Mimi) Blok. The couple moved to 54 Papaverstraat in Meppel.
