About Abraham Tromp

Abraham Tromp was the son of Eliazer Tromp and Sophia Turfreijer. When his mother passed away on 15 April 1933, Abraham Tromp was placed at the Berg-Stichting.

Berg Stichting

De Berg-stichting is in 1909 opgericht als opvanghuis voor joodse kinderen uit noodlijdende gezinnen en voogdij kinderen. In 1940 waren 106 jongens en meisjes tussen 4 en 21 jaar ondergebracht bij de Berg-stichting. De niet joodse directeur Reitsema heeft zijn pupillen en personeel zo veel mogelijk trachten te beschermen. Door middel van onderduik of niet-joodverklaringen hebben zo‘n 70 inwonenden…
