Philip Jacob Braadbaart was a son of Jacob Braadbaart and Betje de Goeije. He married 4 July 1917 in Dordrecht Kaatje Breemer, a daughter of Hendrik Breemer and Rozetta Hartog. The couple had three children: Betje, married to Alois Herman Son, Rozetta and Schoontje.

The sister of Philip Jacob Braadbaart, Veronika has been killed too during the Shoah.
