Maria Schrijver

Aaltje and Maria Schrijver were sisters. Nardus, born in 1869, was the eldest of the Schrijver family. Jacob was born in 1871. Then came Maria and Aaltje as the third and fourth child. In 1875 Nanette Schrijver was born, only one year later followed by Maurice Schrijver. No brother or sister of Aaltje and Maria has survived the war.

De zussen Maria (controleur borduuratelier) en Aaltje Schrijver worden op 27 februari 1943 aangehouden, omdat zij zonder Jodenster op straat zijn geweest. Ze moeten zich verantwoorden tegenover de SS. Ze worden vanaf het politiebureau per auto naar de SD overgebracht. Op 1 maart 1943 worden zij in kamp Westerbork geregistreerd. Al de volgende dag worden zijn naar 'het Oosten' gedeporteerd.
