Ephraim Snoek

Ephraim Snoek, son of Elias Snoek and Rachel de Hond, married 3 January 1923 in Amsterdam to Keetje Waterman, a daughter of Levie Waterman and Elisabeth de Hond.
His two other brothers, Samson and Levie, have been killed too during the Holocaust.

Ephraim Snoek, mostly known as Frits, was a son of Mozes Snoek and Engeltje Coopman. He was a well known florist with his stall near the Munt tower in Amsterdam. Ephraim married Henriette de Jong in Amsterdam on  25 May 1935,  a daughter of Abraham de Jong and Sophia Meiler. The couple Snoek-de Jong had two children, Engelina Selma and Sophia Sybilla. Both the children have survived the Holocaust.…

In addition, a Jokos file (number 55347) on this family is at the Amsterdam Municipal Archive. Access is subject to authorization from the Stichting Joods Maatschappelijk Werk.The Jokos file reveals that a claim was lodged for compensation for valuables surrendered to the Lippmann-Rosenthal looting bank (L-claim, number 10).
