Michel Crost was a son of Abraham Crost en Aaltje Zurel. He married 14 September 1887 in Amsterdam to Hanna Vas Dias, a daughter of Abraham Vas Dias and Grietje Mello. The couple had six children, of whom three have died at very young ages before the war. The others, Abraham, Grietje and the unmarried Sara, have been killed during the Shoah.
