Aron Ensel and Heintje Wittenburg were married at Westerbork transit camp on 15 December 1942.
Aron Ensel, warehouse clerk, was a son of supply clerk Andries Ensel and of the deceased Mietje van Praag. Heintje Wittenburg, tailor, was a daughter of greengrocer Mozes Wittenburg and Sientje Brilleman.

Andries Ensel was a son of Raphael Ensel and Salina Behr. He married Mietje van Praag in 1913 in Amsterdam. She died in 1936. Aron, Hartog and Raphael were their children.
