Simon Okker

Simon Okker took part in the Olympics of 1906 and 1908. He is the grandfather of a famous Dutch tennis player.

Simon is een zoon van Hartog Okker en Clara Schenkkan. Hij trouwde 7 september 1909 met Keetje Kloots (22 jaar), dochter van Samuel Kloots en Annette Keijser.

Simon Okker was the son of Hartog Okker and Clara Schenkkan. He was married to Keetje Kloots, who passed away in 1938. The couple had three children: Clara Annetta, Annetta Clara and one child that survived the war.

Simon Okker was gemengd gehuwd en arriveerde op 11 juni 1943 in kamp Westerbork. Hij kwam terecht in de strafbarak. Vanuit het kamp schreef hij regelmatig brieven aan zijn familie. Twintig daarvan zijn bewaard gebleven.
