Duifje Mullem was a daughter of Samuel Mullem and Joanna Salomon van Bever, a family with 9 children. One brother and one sister died before the war. The others, Eva, Salomon, Hartog, Jacob, Betje en Judith die not survive the Holocaust.
Duifje married in Amsterdam on 9 Augustus 1916 to Mozes Cauveren, son of Joseph Cauveren and Roosje Hen.
