From 23 September 1943 David Beermann and his spouse resided in camp Westerbork, Barrack 63. They wrote at least eight cards to friends in Amsterdam to thank them for sending packages to Westerbork. In the last card, from 3 December 1943, they asked to send a few more packages for the stock, since they would not be allowed to receive any packages from non-Jews after 16 December.
