Julia Meinbach-Thalering was Eduard's mother. She was born on 14 May 1910 in Stanislav and she died on 27 February 1942.
His father, Max Meinbach, was arrested on 27 October 1942 and on that same day Eduard was brought to the Jewish Orphanage at the Pletterijstraat in Den Haag.
