Liepman Brommet was the headmaster of a school in Deventer. In 1941 he was dismissed by order of the occupying forces. In Utrecht he found work at a Jewish school. In 1942 Liepman Brommet was deported to Mauthausen, where he was murdered. Soon after he died, his wife Betje Brommet-van der Horts took her own life.
