Marcella Berwin-Birmann

Marcella Birmann was divorced from Eric Berwin. She was arrested at the end of July 1942 and imprisoned in Scheveningen (Oranjehotel). From there she was first deported to transit camp Westerbork and the to Auschwitz.

Erich Berwin werd op 1 september 1891 geboren in Nakel (nu: Polen) als zoon van David Itzig en Jenny Berwin. In 1918 werd zijn naam officieel gewijzigd in Berwin.

Hij trouwde op 7 juni 1933 in Den Haag met Marcella Birmann (Lemberg, Polen, 30 juni 1906, Auschwitz 30 september 1942). Dit huwelijk werd op 26 november 1938 in Berlijn ontbonden.
