About Betje Frenkel

Betje Frenkel was vice-consul for the Netherlands in Jeruzalem in the twenties. She was a private secretary of a banker. She already suffered from cancer when she was put on transport to Westerbork from Barneveld.

Betje Frenkel lived together with her sisters. When they were forced to depart for Barneveld they received the order to leave the household effects as they were. An NSB-familiy moved into the house after that.
