Antoon Bernard Fontein was married to Sophia Jaquet, daughter of a gentile father and a Jewish mother, Henriette Bachra. At the end of May 1941 the Newly weds moved into their new home at Uiterwaardenstraat 70 III. Their names were removed from the municipal register on October 23, 1942. One month before they had been deportation to Auschwitz.
