Lion Schulman was a painter. He lived with his daughter Margot Schulman and her husband, Willem Willing, after his wife passed away. The three of them were forced to move to Amsterdam, where the 91 year old Schulman went to live in a Jewish retirement home in the Sarphatiestraat.
