Hans Wolfgang was a refugee from Germany. He came to the Netherlands with a Kindertransport on January 5th, 1939. At first he stayed at the Dommelhuis in Eindhoven, from there he went to Kraaijbeek in Driebergen, Oostelijke Handelskade 12 in Asmterda, Vondelhof in Asmterdam, Westerbork, and in September 1940 to Wieringen.
Hans was an electrician, but in the Netherlands he was learning to become a car mechanic.
His mother, Margartha Pooner, born in 1888 in Dresden, wanted to go to England. His father, Martin, born in 1893, passed away before 1938.
