Christina Bachrach-Eijsman and Hanna Sebilla (Annie) Bachrach went into hiding in Oosterbeek where they were betrayed.
Three other children from the Bachrach family, among whom Mozes (Maurits), were summoned to labour camps in the Netherlands in September 1942. Already after a few weeks they were brought to Westerbork. Thanks to the fiancé of one of the children they managed to escape from Westerbork. They went into hiding in the vicinity of Raalte where Maurits was shot on 14 October 1944, the day of the 'Sallandse razzia'. The other two children survived the war in hiding.
