Philip Wolf's family consisted of Philip, his wife Carola Schwarzschild and their daughter Rudi Rosa Wolf. Rosa Schwarzschild was Carola's mother. Philip Wolff had a hardware store and was rag-dealer. From 1938 onwards, the family lived at the corner of Molenstraat and Bovenstraat in Limbricht. Josef Rubens was a nephew of Rudi Rosa Wolf and joined the family in 1939.
