Jonas Hegt and his family

Jonas Hegt married Flora Francisca Wolff in 1906. He was an architect. After their wedding the couple moved to Delft. They had four children, of whom three died within a year of their birth. Following his retirement, Jonas Hegt moved with his wife to Scheveningen, where he performed architectural services for the City of The Hague. Jonas Hegt's fourth child survived the war.

We have been unable to determine whether one or more members of this family survived the war. While their names do not appear on the lists of survivors, we have not been able to trace them in In Memoriam either. They are therefore labeled as 'surviving' and their names are not listed.

In addition, a Jokos file (number 9325) on this family is at the Amsterdam Municipal Archive. Access is subject to authorization from the Stichting Joods Maatschappelijk Werk.The Jokos file reveals that a claim was lodged for compensation for valuables surrendered to the Lippmann-Rosenthal looting bank (L-claim, number 4921/18983).
