Herman Calff appears on a handwritten list of all persons who held offices in the Dutch-Jewish community of Haarlem during the early years of the war.
He was a member of the congregation council of the Dutch-Jewish Community of Haarlem and of the general board of the Dutch-Jewish Joles Hospital. Photographs remain of each official.
Herman Calff was married. He and his wife lived at 104 Kinderhuissingel in Haarlem.
