Salli Meijler and his family

The mayor of Winterswijk requested that the butcher Salli Meijler, his wife Ida Jeanette Meijers and his daughter Rosa Sophia Meijler, residing at 6 Goudvinkenstraat in Winterswijk, be located, detained and brought to trial. They had left their place of residence without the required authorization. This description referred to Jews who had gone into hiding. Identifying characteristics of Salli Meijler: 'About 5'9" tall, parted blond hair, no beard or moustache, wears spectacles, one eye a bit cross-eyed, does not appear Jewish.' Identifying characteristics of Jeanette Meijler-Meijers: 'About 5'9" tall, dark hair, solid build.'
